Anita Sherman, recently retired after 30 years as a professor at QVCC, returns to an early passion: real estate. She credits purchase of her first home in Brooklyn at the age of 24 as the best financial move of her life.
Anita holds an M.B.A from Bryant University and an M.Ed from ECSU. As a student at the University of Connecticut, she worked for the Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies, where she learned about investing in real estate. She now owns several investment properties in CT and one in NC.
One of her proudest accomplishments is helping her four sons purchase real estate. At the time of the purchases, each son was younger than 24. She feels a particular commitment to helping people who are buying their first home.
